About 1 of 3 adults (more than 70 million) in the United States has high blood pressure, which increases the risk for heart disease and stroke, the first and third leading cause of death in the United States. African Americans are more susceptible to this condition than any other ethnic group in America. (source: CDC landing page) Believe in Healthy BP is a program created to address the concerns of this growing epidemic. This program will make visits to various cities throughout the country offering free blood pressure screenings as well as free educational information on blood pressure, including its prevention and management.
